CDECF is implementing a project titled “Promoting Anticipatory Actions to Address climate and environment risks for community transformation (PROAACT) project” from May 2026 to August 2027. The project is being implemented in coordination with Indrawati Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchowk with financial support and partnership from the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). It is a specifically research-based pilot project. The project aims to support target communities to develop and implement locally led adaptation actions, and build knowledge and networks, focusing on nature-based solutions (NbS) for socio-ecological sustainability and resilience. The project aims to: 1) Increase the capacity and resilience of local communities living within the Ganga and Indus River Basins to address climate and environmental risks, as well as associated threats to social cohesion and stability. 2) Promote regional collaboration (inter-organizational collaboration, peer-to-peer learning, and institutional interaction) among stakeholders.
